Tapatalk support
« on: April 02, 2012, 12:35:12 AM »
Any chance you can support Tapatalk (http://www.tapatalk.com/) on the TRT100k forum?  I'm running it on my SMF site (still under development) and really like being able to access the forums via my mobile phone.

Thanks,

Jesse

Cool ... I'll take a look.  We have some programmers who are working on some new things for the forum so I'll need to make sure I don't mess up their stuff.. :)  Thanks !!

Dene - I appreciate your looking into this.  I use tapatalk a lot for my forum (like all my stuff still in private test mode).  Being able to get to the forum from my iPhone helps me stay connected much more than if I needed to boot the computer each time...

I use this forum fine in my phone's web browser. Is tapatalk really better? I do keep getting pestered to install it when i come across forums on my phone.

Same for me. I get the pop up quite a bit. I don't have issues with the forums on my phone. What is the difference?

The forum works ok with the mobile browser, but I prefer the full-on native app forum experience.  It's just easier / faster for me.  It's also nicer since I participate in multiple forums, I can access them all from the same app.  For the forum owner, it's an easy install, for the users, you can buy the app or not.

I'd still really like this, because it would make participating in these forums easier for me.
