New Brand Logo
« on: March 08, 2012, 02:43:34 PM »
Hey everyone!
I just got my logo finished up yesterday. Just wondering what you guys think. I am hoping to rebuild the site based on this logo. I am SUPER excited.  I am not dead set on the color scheme, but blue is my fav!

OK...

I am not sure how this logo will look in the smaller format you'll use it at most of the time.

For one the blue and black are very close.  When it's small the color contrast won't be strong enough and because there is no white space between the blue and black deco lines I don't expect it will look very well.

@Benfitts,
I totally agree. The logo was done without the color. I added it just messing around to find a color combo I like. I also agree about the small avatar sized picture looking weird. Still working that out too. Thank you for your very honest input, it means a lot to me. For real, THANK YOU!

@VideoGR, HAHA, I wish. The girl that does all of my tattoo work did it. She is an amazing artist. If you are on instagram, she is HammerHand. I can also say she lives up to that name. VERY heavy handed when tattooing.

I still think it's a nice logo. Maybe just add a little white space between the black and the blue? Like a fine white line?

I can see how that would really make it stand out. I am working with a buddy of mine to clean it up so it looks better online. It looks AMAZING on paper.

Oh man, that's killer. It looks awesome!
I can sorta hack together stuff in GIMP but I'm no graphics guy. Programming is where my skills lie.

Better!  Learning such a skill takes much time and talent, unless it is something you really want to learn, best to outsource it.   I can play with Gimp editing, resizing, change stuff around, but if I need something drawn, I hire my oldest daughter, she can make it better than I ever could in a fraction of the time.

The logo look killer man, my one nit is the gears seems to take your eyes away from the main part of the logo and off to the side. Might want to play around with removing the gears or making them less noticeable, I like them there but they just seem to draw the eyes.

Yes, I agree with that , just forgot to mention it. I think it's because they're hard to see, so you try to look at them.
