I really don't use any rss reader or e-mail subscription to keep up with all the blogs I follow. But I now use feesburner so others can follow my blog very easy both via mail and/or with an RSS-reader. That makes it so simple for everyone. I also tweet out all new blog posts (automated with feedburner) so my followers easy know when I pos new content.

It depends...

For podcasts, I get email from some sites and I'm subscribed in BeyondPod on my phone.

For other blogs, I usually just use a feed reader, or I'd get hundreds(!) of emails a day.
