Anyone playing with live video?
« on: February 04, 2012, 10:18:48 AM »
Does anyone have any tips, hints, or suggestions for doing live video?

I'm trying to pull out all the stops with the new project. Monday, I'm doing my weekly "podcast" live on Vokle. I was going to try Ustream, but it has some issues on my Mac.

Thanks,

Josh

Have you been following Gary Vaynerchuk and his recent Spreecasts?
Here is the sample: http://www.spreecast.com/events/wed-night-jam-session  Oh and I am the first guy out of the gates.
And look, the recorded event is there for posterity...

I'm not sure how the Cast originator manages things, but Gary seemed to do it with ease.
 Just a thought.

That's the next one I'm going to try. I would have tried it Monday but my wife decided to have a baby! How Rude! ;)

My concern with Spreecast is that it will be the same as Vokle. The bells and whistles become meaningless if I can't get my videos to play.

Bambuser is also an alternative to Justin.tv, Ustream, Livestream.

I'm going to have to check that out. It looks pretty powerful.
