Days with no podcast
« on: January 24, 2012, 04:55:49 PM »
I hate to admit it, but days where there is no podcast bum me out... I've grown used to the daily kick in the pants, and have come to rely on it to keep the motivational juices flowing.

That's about the highest praise I think you can give a podcast.

Not to steal views from jack (impossible?) but another podcast I have found informational is the foolish adventure podcast over at www.foolishadventure.com

I met Tim Conley at AZ Podcamp last year.  It's always cool to get some more info, he does pretty much the same thing.  He usually only podcasts once a week but he's got a lot of older content.
Resources I use.
Bluehost Web Hosting. Reliable uptime, great interface and amazing customer service.
Standard Theme The wordpress them I use for most of my sites

I agree JRJ. I've come to the point where I look forward to 5MWJ as much as TSP. I usually listen to 5MWJ first every day.

But given that TSP is Jack's main site I can certainly understand that that's where most of his time and effort go.

I don't believe that most spaces are a zero-sum game.  :)

Absolutely-- wasn't implying dissatisfaction, it was intended as a complement and commentary on how much a part of my routine the podcast has become. Great content creates an emotional connection, and while all of my past podcasts have been weekly, Jack's two excellent daily podcasts have brought me around to the value of publishing daily.

Sorry for the skip on Tuesday folks it wasn't planned.  Just left the recorder at the office then the day got REALLY busy, etc.  To make it up to you I did a 30 minute video on building site networks today, should be on YouTube by tomorrow.

I have quite a few podcasts that I try to listen to, but when I listen to one that really moves me I make it a point to save it for my favorites playlist...then when I'm all caught up and need a fix I just randomly choose one off my Fav List...

Such a bummer for me with the videos.. I'm on satellite isp and just cant get a video that large to download AND do my work! Gotta wait till I go into town and highjack some wifi to see them.
I agree that I too really look forward to 5mwj almost as much as tsp...

If you sub to the survival podcast you'd know he's out of town (or was) at the liberty forum.

And I would know that because there continued to be TSP posts and episodes.  I'm just messing around, nothing meant by it.
