I started a new campain with a different landing page and its working out great. I should have done that all along. Your landing page needs to have to some killer grab on it or your wasting your money.

What's the landing page? Would love to see what others are doing.

That's what I'm using as my landing page until that game is released. I feel it's topical to my community and allows me to gain trust in the fact I do know what I'm talking about. My bounce rate has lowered drastically from when I just sent them to my homepage.  What do you think?

Very cool... since you are using a fixed width template, you should consider changing your embed code for the videos to take the full available width. Would really highlight the videos (at least the first one.)

I didn't even know mine had a fixed width >< I've been trying to figure out why my videos were so messy looking. How do I tell which size to use? Ive only been playing with this site for a little over a month lol I'm still learning.

For the way your site is laid out, I would recommend 853x480, as shown below. (Not sure if these forms will let me post an image or not, but I'm going to try.) (EDIT: Hey, it worked! :) )

By the way... great example of what I was saying earlier about linking to your BEST content with stumbleupon-- you get tons of free traffic on top of the paid traffic. Here's an example from last week:

Over the course of a week, I paid for 581 visitors at a nickel apiece... but I got another 977 on top of that, so my effective cost-per-click was under 2 cents.

I don't see this happen when I send people to the front page, or even to any of the landing pages I've tried, but when I send people to an interesting article I get lots of free traffic.

VGR,

Are you using WordPress? There's a cooler way to deal with embeds.

1. Use WP's embed method for video. Like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8n4Dzp1ex3c
Here's the #1 issue. The forum will automatically make that a link. WP might do it too. Just highlight it and click the Unlink button (in WP).

2. Adjust your WP settings: Settings -> Media
o Make sure Auto-embed is checked.
o Set the max dimensions for your embedded videos.
   o Click save.
o Party like a rock star.

This is the best way to handle embedded video. Period.

In the future, you will probably change your theme. What will you do if your column width changes and all your videos are now too big or too small? You adjust the max dimensions and the whole site is fixed if you do it my way.

Control each embed individually and you have to fix each of them individually. Have fun with that!

Dude... when was this first implemented? I can't believe I didn't know this was built-in. VERY nice.

I'm not sure when it was implemented because I used to use a plugin that mimicked this feature. But I think it was in late 2.x.

So...how do you get the mushroom out?  ;D
Thanks for posting your results. I have considered SU but I haven't decided to plug money into advertising yet.
Although at 2 cents per visitor, that's pretty cheap.
I guess I'm missing something with traffic generation. I need to go back and re-listen to earlier episodes about that.

Killer tip, man. Thanks a lot. I need to fix mine too.

I got a recent bump, but it's still only about 25-30.
I did some SEO and it seemed to help. I've got some things I need to do, that should help with traffic.
Natural StumbleUpon hits seems to be my highest traffic source.
