Posting A Request - Best Practices for Best Feedback
« on: January 30, 2012, 12:36:47 PM »
  • In your subject heading, avoid vague titles like "Website Critique". Be specific with your request. Include the company name or url and what type of critique
you are asking for in the subject heading.

Example: Country Consultant  - content strategy

  • State the goals of your website and briefly let us know what your
business is about. What do you hope to achieve from the site? Do you have a
strategy? How does it fit in with your business?

  • Post the url to the site in the text (or the subject heading) and make it
clickable..you'll get better responses if you make it easy.

  • What platform are you using? Most of the folks here at TRT100K are
using Wordpress, but don't make us assume...

  • Try not to be offended.. Understandably, it`s your baby and no one
likes to feel like they are being bashed, but give those who give you a
critique the benefit of the doubt that they are just trying to help.

  • When you get feedback, let us know what you think and thank your friends for caring enough to give you their time.

Hey all...
I just spun off my first satellite site and made it only for the Soil Cube Tool...
I am interested in any feedback on this site and the "mother-site".
The new site is at soilcube.com. Any feedback will be great!

The mothersite is deeplyrootedorganics.com.
I am planning a redesign of the deeplyrooted site and am going to be making it a shopping cart driven commerce site. I will be adding a bunch of new products... no need to critique this one!

Thank you in advance for your time in reviewing!
All the best,
Clayton

Dene has some great tips for better website critiques.   I'm pinning them to the top.  Even if you are new to building your own site, please give reviews besides asking for them.
