A way to take your idea to market!!!
« on: March 21, 2013, 12:16:57 AM »
I recently learned about quirky.com so I submitted my idea.  Everyone can vote for ideas and the best ideas go to the staff.  This organization has enough resources to prototype and take to the market.

Shameless plug for my idea.  Please vote for my doubledesk if you think it shows promise.

That's pretty cool, Quirky looks like they like to make and sell small products, easier to make and ship with higher margins. I'm sure your table would be great for a company like Ikea...I'll look for them to make something similar once they see your design. For a company like that what a great marketing strategy, have someone else give you ideas, if it's a good idea it will become apparent soon and then thay can make them and sell it...win win

Yup, Ikea is exactly where I see this product going long term.  The dimensions on my product make this a bit difficult to ship direct to customers. And Ikea has factories set up specifically for certain classes of products.  This would fit right in with their products.  I just need to license the product to them.  But I don't know how to reach out and present it to them.  That's just not my expertise.
