206 hits
« on: October 20, 2012, 01:05:22 AM »
from what i understand in my cpanel aw stats in the download section...

206 hits are when someone listens to say an audio file, but not to the end or when someone like itunes rips it from your feed correct?

because im seeing a 46, 250 on one podcast, 16,297, 59,164 and im confused?

I dont have my feedburner up to register my actual itunes listens or anything...so....

HTTP code 206 means a partial download.  So, they probably listened to some of your podcast but not all of it.  Or perhaps they clicked around on the track to skip ahead.

It could be an automated indexer or search engine spider hitting your link too... not sure... I am definitely not an expert in podcasting :)
